The Value Added through MN-EbD STEM Network School Participation
If you are looking for a comprehensive STEM program that includes curriculum, assessments, professional development, and membership in an association dedicated to STEM, look no further. MN-EbD STEM Network School teachers receive access to the finest, research- based K-12 STEM and engineering curriculum delivered through a state-of-the-art online platform – EbD Buzz.
Pre-assessments, summative assessments, and performance-based design challenges are included to measure student learning, and a dashboard puts real-time data at your fingertips. Professional development is offered through an online professional learning community, and lead teachers can attend a train-the-trainer session each summer.
What is more, Network Schools in Minnesota are provided with an ITEEA STEM School membership at a reduced cost. This membership includes several additional resources aimed at supporting the implementation of STEM education for all students.
Pre K-5 Engineering byDesign
The ITEEA STEM Center for Teaching and Learning preK-6 elementary STEM curriculum unit sequence is delivered through a hands-on Technology, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science (TEEMS) thematic interdisciplinary approach using an engaging, Integrative STEM Education lessons.

Middle School (6-8) Engineering byDesign
The grade 6-8 EbD curriculum materials are designed to be 18-week courses. Exploring Technology (Grade 6), Invention and Innovation (grade 7) and Technological systems are the courses at the Middle school level. Each course is designed around the 6E (ENGAGE, EXPLORE, EPLAIN, Engineer, enrich and evaluate). Each unit in the coursework includes project-based learning to provide a hands on – minds learning.

High School (9-12) Engineering byDesign
The High School coursework starts with Foundations of Technology has the choice of 4 courses: Technology and Society, Technological Design, Advanced design applications and Advanced Technological Applications. There is a capstone course, Engineering Design. This coursework is Project Based, Flexible to meet the capabilities of a school’s facilities and can be based on current equipment in the school. The lesson projects are such that they can be adapted to the tools and equipment available to the tea her and students with easily accessible consumable supplies.

Become a MN Engineering byDesign School
The EbD-BUZZ version, also known as the MRe or MediaRich Edition, is available on a yearly subscription basis and is delivered via our learning management system, EbD-BUZZ. The EbD-BUZZ version of each course provides real-time online access to all course updates and additional interactive media, as well as the online pre- and post- assessments. Teachers using EbD-BUZZ are required to administer the online pre and post assessments provided in each middle and high school course.

You are now able to request temporary access to review a course (or courses) in which you are interested in for a week (we can make it 2 weeks if needed) in order to make a well-informed decision about which version, Standard Edition or MediaRich Edition, best fits your needs. Simply complete the REQUEST FOR EbD COURSE REVIEW ACCESS FORM, and our technical support team will set you up with preview access.

Elementary Any Single Grade level: $220 + Training
Elementary, PreK-2 Package: $560 per building, $120 per teacher over 4, + Training (see below)
Elementary, 3-6 Package: $560 per building, $120 per teacher over 4, + Training (see below)
Elementary, PreK-6 Package: $936 per building, $120 per teacher over 4, + Training (see below)

Training
Access to the EbD BUZZ version requires a 4-day training session. The cost for the training sessions is $800 per participant ($950 for non MTEEA members). Multiple participant discounts are available.

The Download version is available to those Minnesota Teachers who are both MTEEA and ITEEA members. Nonmember cost is $100. An “Unpacking the Download” PowerPoint is included, other trainings will be available online or at the MTEEA annual conference.
